“Practice is not what you do when your great, practice is what you do to become great.” – from the book Outliers
Happy Birthday to Michael Cueva. He sent me an e-mail of his love/hate list and it simply said “I hate all and love all, you choose.” So since Mike plays tenor sax in the roots reggae band, Ooklah the Moc, we decided to make this workout a team wod. 3 people working at one time, 9 elements, 39 reps for each person. Can you guess which birthday Mike was celebrating? This was a great workout for who all showed up. Happy Birthday Mike!
Workout of the Day:
“Cueva”
39 Wall Ball(m-20lbs/f-12lbs)
39 Tire Jumps(
39 Double-Unders
39 Push-Ups
39 Sit-Ups
39 Squats
39 Burpees
39 Pull-Ups
39 Kettlebell Swings
3 and 4 member teams but only 3 people can be working at one time. Once someone is done with their 39 reps they can help out a team member to finish their 39 reps. The team has to finish all their reps before moving on to the next element. 20 minute cap.
This is one of my favorite birthday WODs ever! Very creative Kimo! And nice team set-up. Fay and Lei really supported my shortcomings. Couldn't have done it without them. I think you push harder when you're on a team. Happy Birthday Mike!
thaks for a great b-day WOD kimo! That was a lot of fun! i appreciate all the thought you put in to the programming of the WODs.
This wod was excellent! the reps were high but thankfully not Angie high.It gave a greater insight as to what body weight elements I need to work on, in particular pull ups (getting the kip is worthless to me if I can't do more than five unbroken), tire jumps, oh and those terrible things called double unders.
