“Those who have not yet accepted their own imperfection are the first ones to judge and criticize the faults of others.” –Sidd G
I thought it was picture worthy to share our recycle bin. Keep in mind some beverages are probably pre-wod(starbucks), in-wod(coconut water and water), and post-wod.(muscle milk, beer). Some are for performance enhancement and some are just fun. And yes the Mirror Pond is mine(and Di) I am not saying if it is pre,in or post. Guess? CrossFit Critics can have at it…just showing the facts. The items depicted in this photo neither endorse or advocate any one product;) – like what you like, hate what you hate, but don’t judge =) okay I’ll judge…who drinks light beer?
We have never done bench press in a room wod for the whole time we have been open(over 2 years) even though it has been done in the benchmark workout “Linda” by the coaches and in special training segments. This is largely due to the limitations on benches (2) and the constant need for a spotter if someone should get in trouble. Just a few weeks ago, I almost got rid of the benches since they take up necessary space in our gym. Since I didn’t, we might as well put them to use.
Workout of the Day:
Strength Day
Bench Press
5-5-5-5-5
then…
Wall Ball(m-20lbs to 10’/f-12lbs to 10′ or 16lbs to 9′)
max reps in 3 minutes
Who drinks light beer? I do and here is why.
1. Refreshment – Post WOD, an ice cold light beer (preferably a sponsor of NASCAR) is much more refreshing than its thicker, darker competitors. I don’t need to sip on any fancy name brand and discuss the rich flavors post WOD. Post WOD I simply need to get beer in my belly!
2. Convenience – No matter where a crossfitter may find him or herself, rest assured you can find good ol’ American light beer. I once found myself in the remote village of Kom Pong Thom, Cambodia and guess who was sitting on the shelf between Tiger Beer and Angkor Beer… that’s right, Mr. Bud Light!
3. Pyramids – We all know light beer contains less alcohol per fluid oz. than other beers. So why does that make light beer totally RAD? Simple. Less alcohol per can equals more cans to drink. The more cans you have lying around the bigger beer can pyramid you can build!
My name is John B. and I drink light beer.
i am the same with beer as I am with women, non-commital. whether its dark or light, tall or short a beer a day keeps the doctor away.
1. If I want water, I'll drink water. Not light beer. 🙂
2. Part of the adventure of traveling is trying food & drink of other countries, including their beer.
3. That must be a guy thing because I don't get it. But it does explain why the parking lot smells after a late night HAF BBQ.
4. I think the light beer was mine, which I got from Kimo's wife Diane! 😉
